Glitter & Go

Hello friends and happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here. You’ve likely been discussing plans in your group chat since Monday, and the time has come in your workweek where you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  As you make your plan of attack with your girlies this Friday Eve, I offer you a way to step up your makeup look this weekend: Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows. While the name may be a mouthful, it is about the most difficult part about the product. This product is a perfect way to take your eye makeup to the next level in just one little swoop. Whether your plan is to sit by the pool and sip rosé for some much needed R&R or hit the town with your friends, this product works for all occasions. You can chose to really play up your eyes with a cut crease look or simply use it as an eyeliner to add a little pop.

I’ve been eyeing the glitter eyeshadow trend for awhile but had been waiting to find the perfect shade. I stumbled across this product during a binge session on Sephora‘s website. This shadow retails for $24. It comes in a liquid form, has a doe foot applicator, and comes in 10 glitter shades and 4 metallic finishes. I only purchased the shade Kitten Karma since I was hesitant about spending so much on one eyeshadow, but they are worth every penny if you are into a metallic and glitter look. Kitten Karma is a great shade because depending on what shadows you chose to wear with it, it can look like copper or a rose gold. The color is very neutral compared to some of the other shades. My sister has the shade Violet Vixen and loves it but didn’t use it as frequently because it is not as versatile. As soon as she saw me wearing Kitten Karma one night out, she immediately pulled out her phone and bought it.

The product is very easy to use. I use the applicator it comes with if I apply it to my whole lid. When I use it as a liner I usually will use an eyeliner brush to create a thinner line. The product sets pretty quickly, but you have a few seconds to blend it out. After it sets it stays in place like a DREAM. No creasing. No fall out. I will say, if you are going to use this product you have to commit to the look because once you put it on it is not as easy to take off as regular shadows. For a glitter product, it doesn’t get everywhere like one may expect; However, it would be hard to take off and use another shadow without ruining whatever eye makeup you have on already. Overall, it is the answer to your glittery prayers, and it is a simple one-and-done product. I will definitely be purchasing another shade (I’ve been eyeing Gold Goddess) since I have received so many compliments.

Are any of you into the glitter makeup trend? If so, any other recommendations? Let me know!
